How do I declare the loss of an object in transport?
The process for reporting a lost or found item may vary depending on the operators who operate the line or station/station in which you lost or found the item.
If the station you are in has an agent-based ticket office, the easiest way is to go directly there for assistance. If not, you have several options. However, it is important to remember that Île-de-France Mobilités or the operators cannot be held liable in the event of loss or theft of an object in the Île-de-France transport network. In addition, the loss or theft of a smartphone is not a reason for a refund or replacement of the tickets loaded on it.
RATP (metro network):
If you have lost an item on the network served by RATP, fill out this form to place an ad on the RATP website. If the object has been found, you will receive a notification and can find the object at the station or at the lost property services of the police prefecture.
If you have found an item, please hand it in directly to an agent at the station or station.
A number is also available in case of loss of an object, 3246 (0.80cts/mins + price of a local call).
SNCF (train network/ RER):
If you have lost an item on the network served by the SNCF, fill out this form to inform the SNCF lost and found service. If the item has been found, you will receive a notification and can find the item at the station (station where the item was lost or the train arrival station, if lost in a train) or can be delivered to your home (shipping costs at your expense). The object will be collected on presentation of an identity document and after payment of a restitution fee of €5 or €10, corresponding to the management fee.
Please note: you have 30 days to get your object back, after this period, it will be destroyed or donated to an association.
If you have found an item, please hand it in directly to an agent at the station or station.
Bus networks :
If you have lost an item on a bus, you must first find out which operator manages the line. To do this, go to the "Schedules" section of the Île-de-France Mobilités website and select the bus line you are interested in. Click on "Search" (you do not need to fill in the stop and carrier fields), you will then see the name of your carrier (Keolis, Croix Savac, RATP, Transdev, etc.).
