How do I use the contactless payment service to validators?
All you have to do is present your payment method in front of a validator identified by the "contactless payment" pictogram to authorise the opening of the validator once the bank transaction has been authorised.
This service is exclusively at the Orly Airport metro exit and does not allow entry into the public transport network or connections.
How do I know if the validation worked?
When your validation is successful, a green light will illuminate on the validator.
In order to avoid any misreading or unwanted validation of a medium, it is important to present only one device at a time, whether it is a bank card, a phone or a connected watch.
Can I pay for several travellers with a single credit card?
It is possible to pay for several travellers with a single card when using the contactless outbound payment service. To carry out a validation for several travellers, you must present your means of payment as many times as necessary, within the limit of 5 people per validator for Orly. Each presentation should be spaced about 2 seconds apart and all validations should be completed within a maximum of 3 minutes. Beyond this period, the payment method can no longer be used for 5 minutes on the validator.
How does billing and bank notifications work?
The service operates on a "post-pay" principle, which means that trips are grouped and debited at the end of the day. During the first validation, a bank imprint can be made, and notifications can appear on your banking app or wallet/card app with temporary amounts. These amounts may vary and will be adjusted to the actual total of validations made during the day.
