Children under 4 can travel on all Ile-de-France networks free of charge (except Filéo), without a ticket.
Children must be provided have documents proving their right to free travel.
Children can travel on networks with ticket barriers (metro, train-RER, express tram) by travelling in the arms of an adult, or, for children in strollers, by asking at the ticket counter for the side doors at the ticket barriers to be opened.
When it is busy, children under 4 years old should travel on an adult’s lap. Priority seats are reserved for parents of young children in the trains for this purpose.
