Infrastructure

That is to say, the construction of the dedicated site, stations and urban facilities (sidewalks, roads, bicycle facilities) necessary for the integration of the Tzen 5. It is estimated at around €117 million excluding VAT (at the economic conditions of August 2014) and is financed by the State and the European Union (21%), the Île-de-France Region (49%), the Val-de-Marne department (26.55%) and the City of Paris (3.45%).

Rolling stock

That is to say, the buses, their cost is €25.5 million excluding tax. They are 100% financed by Île-de-France Mobilités.

Actors

By financing up to 21% of the Tzen 5 bus project, the State is committed to offering Ile-de-France residents more efficient transport that will allow them to move towards a sustainable city and a more peaceful lifestyle. The State is pursuing its objective of making the transport network more efficient by making it part of the dynamics of the territories in order to better meet the daily needs of users, to improve access to transport for all and thus strengthen the attractiveness of the Île-de-France region.

To meet the demand of all users, the Region is investing massively to modernise and expand the public transport network. Together with Île-de-France Mobilités, the Region has been engaged in the transport revolution since 2016 to profoundly improve the transport conditions of Ile-de-France residents. The creation of new bus lines with a high level of service is part of this major programme. The Region devotes very significant financial resources to it. It finances the Tzen 5 bus project to the tune of 49%.

Because it is a major social, economic and environmental issue, the Val-de-Marne department is mobilised and committed to improving the quality and quantity of public transport in the region. It actively participates in the deployment of the tram and bus network in dedicated lanes as well as in the extensions of metro lines, and supports the construction of the new Grand Paris Express metro lines. The Tzen 5 bus project meets this requirement and the Department participates in its financing to the tune of 26.55%.

The fight against air pollution, mainly from road traffic, is a major public health issue and the City of Paris has made it an important issue in its policies. Thus, the City of Paris actively participates in the development of the public transport network and in the improvement of links between Paris and neighbouring municipalities. In addition to the new alternative mobility solutions to the private car that it is implementing, it acts for reliable and efficient transport, as close as possible to the needs of users. This is why the Tzen 5 bus project makes sense and will be co-financed by the City of Paris to the tune of 3.45%.

As the organising authority for sustainable mobility in the Île-de-France region, Île-de-France Mobilités imagines, organises and finances innovative solutions to meet all types of mobility. Listening to the people of the Ile-de-France region, she works every day to improve their daily journeys. To do this, it has embarked on an ambitious programme to modernise transport with unprecedented budgets (new trains and buses, reinforcement of bus lines). Île-de-France Mobilités is constantly investing to improve accessibility in stations, which helps to improve the comfort of travel for all Ile-de-France residents. More resources are also being deployed to improve passenger safety (reinforcement of the human presence on the ground, development of video protection, etc.). Île-de-France Mobilités is also thinking about mobility in the broad sense by offering Ile-de-France residents new mobility solutions for their travels: Park and rides, parking spaces for bicycles with bicycle parking near stations, development of micro-working spaces in stations, etc. Île-de-France Mobilités is constantly imagining new services to make your journeys simpler and smoother, with a transport network that is growing every day. Île-de-France Mobilités is the project owner, from the design studies to the public inquiry. It finances 100% of the rolling stock of the Tzen 5.
