Line work begins in Vitry-sur-Seine

After the preparatory and concession work phase, line work began on Rue Edith Cavell, Rue Eugène Hénaff and Rue Léon Geffroy and south of Quai Jules Guesde in Vitry-sur-Seine.
Interventions took place in August to set up the markings of the rights-of-way necessary for the line work. They lead to the closure of some streets to through traffic. Access to local residents and shops is maintained.
Nights (9:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.):
- from 17 to 18 August for the rue Léon Geffroy
- from 24 to 26 August for Hénaff and Cavell streets
- from 26 to 27 August for the Quai Jules Guesde

Once the markings have been installed, line work can begin from the end of August 2026 until the summer of 2027. They consist of creating the dedicated bus lane on Edith Cavell and Léon Geffroy streets, two stations and cycle paths, including a portion of the Île-de-France bicycle network (VIF), as well as redeveloping the roads and sidewalks and planting new trees.
What impacts?
• Car traffic
- Maintaining traffic in both directions on Rue Léon Geffroy
- One-way traffic on Rue Edith Cavell, Rue Eugène Hénaff and Quai Jules Guesde
• Pedestrians and bicycles: paths maintained, with occasional adaptations.
• Parking: temporarily removed along construction sites.
• Shoreline access and shops: maintained.
The construction site rights-of-way will change to the side of the lane in the first quarter of 2027, but traffic conditions will remain the same.
