The Tzen 5 will have lasting positive effects on the living environment of the neighbourhoods it crosses. By facilitating access to major business centres and offering an efficient alternative to the private car, it will help reduce car traffic and the associated nuisances; noise, air pollution, congestion. The developments carried out "from façade to façade" will requalify the entire public space: widened and safe sidewalks, continuous cycle paths, improved pedestrian crossings. From an environmental point of view, the line will be operated with 100% electric buses and the project provides for the planting of more than 250 trees as well as the creation of vegetated valleys, helping to fight against urban heat islands, to strengthen biodiversity and to improve rainwater management thanks to de-waterproofed surfaces and draining asphalt.
