Will the project lead to the removal of parking spaces?
Updated on
Yes, the project provides for the removal of certain parking spaces, mainly in the immediate vicinity of the stations, to make the paths safer, and on the sections requiring cycling or landscaping. The studies have also highlighted the significant presence of "suction cars" along the route, which are detrimental to the fluidity of mobility and the local quality of life. Spaces will nevertheless be created: 59 new spaces at the level of Quai Jules Guesde and 2 spaces south of Rue Léon Geoffroy. The overall balance sheet remains in deficit, with a net loss of 113 places along the route. This evolution is part of a logic of rebalancing public space to the benefit of public transport, pedestrians and cyclists.
