The "Mairie" and "Centre-ville" stations are very close. Why this choice?

The "Centre" station (located near the Parc de la Maison Blanche) aims to offer a complementary service to the dense and commercial districts located between the "Mairie" and "Gare" stations, about 1.6 km apart. This proposal has not been decided and the possibility of abolishing this station was mentioned during the consultation workshop.

If the decision is made to remove the "Centre" station, it would be necessary to provide an additional ancillary structure between "Mairie" and "Gare" (whose dimensions are smaller than those of a station) allowing emergency access to the tunnel.
