Bondoufle bus operational centre

In April 2025, Île-de-France Mobilités launched the construction of a Bus Operational Centre in Bondoufle to modernise the transport network and reduce its environmental impact.

Towards certification

More than 40% of the site will be vegetated, with 315 trees planted and 40% green roofs. A geothermal system will reduce CO2 emissions by 64% compared to a conventional building. The project is aiming for High Environmental Quality Sustainable Infrastructure certification, with validated audits in the design and programming phase.

The future site will also make it possible to group together bus lines that are currently spread over several depots in the south of the Ile-de-France region, in particular the one located on rue du canal between Bondoufle and Fleury-Mérogis, and whose condition no longer meets quality requirements, as well as in Montlhéry, Athis-Mons and Ormoy. This more centralised organisation will contribute to a better efficiency of the network and to a more readable and reliable transport service for users.
