Line 1: a new project for a major extension

From this autumn, we invite you to participate in the preliminary consultation that will be carried out under the aegis of the CNDP on the project to extend metro line 1 to Val-de-Fontenay, a major project for Val-de-Marne, Seine-Saint-Denis and Île-de-France.

The project that will be presented to you is not the same as in 2022. More than a year of studies made it possible to study alternatives to the project and to examine new variantsto reduce the effects of the project on the environment. These new variants concern, in particular:

• The connection of the extension to the current terminus Château de Vincennes, on the edge of the Bois de Vincennes
• Integration of access to the three new stations in their neighbourhoods
• The establishment of the rear station and the train breakdown centre

The upcoming consultation will be an opportunity to debate the opportunity of this new project, its environmental, socio-economic and regional development issues. This consultation will also make it possible to decide on possible alternatives and variants. This will allow you to influence the final choice.
