What does the extension of the Metro line 1 consist of?

Fully automated, Metro 1 now connects La Défense to Château de Vincennes by crossing the centre of Paris on a west-east axis. It is planned to connect the current Château de Vincennes terminus to the Val de Fontenay station, with the creation of three new stations:
• A first station in the Rigollots sector (Fontenay-sous-Bois, near Vincennes),
• A station in Grands Pêchers (south of Montreuil),
• A terminus station in Val de Fontenay (Fontenay-sous-Bois).
The extension of the Metro line 1 will ensure an efficient and direct connection by metro between the cities of Fontenay-sous-Bois, Montreuil, Vincennes and Paris and will save significant time for users of the extended metro.
The service offer of Metro 1 will be 1 minute 35 minutes during rush hour. The number of metro trains will be increased to achieve this objective and meet the needs related to the extension.
