ExtensionChâteau de Vincennes < > Val de Fontenay
What would be its benefits?
Published on
- 81,000 passengers per day would benefit from this extension, 60% of which would reach the line near the stations (on foot, by bike or by bus) and 40% by rail connections (in particular via metro 15 and the RER A and E).
· The densely populated districts of Rigollots (Fontenay-sous-Bois, east of Vincennes) and Grands Pêchers (Montreuil) are away from structuring transport and served by a local bus network with limited possibilities for significant improvement: already very dense with numerous lines, recently restructured, playing an essential role in feeder to transport hubs and whose road congestion limits efficiency.
- A reliable, fast, comfortable and accessible link for the living areas served, to reach the employment centres of Paris and La Défense in particular, the university centres and the major facilities of the metropolis: 8 minutes by metro between Château de Vincennes and the Val de Fontenay centre, 1 metro every 95 seconds, 1 very reliable automatic line, 3 stations accessible to all.
- A more robust public transport network in the east of the Ile-de-France region to facilitate travel from suburb to suburb, through a connection at the Val de Fontenay station-hub with the RER A, RER E, the many bus lines and the future Tram T1, metro 15 and Bus Bords de Marne.
