Adapted school transport

Île-de-France Mobilités has set up a specific and free transport service for pupils and students with disabilities.

What is paratransit services?

Adapted school transport allows the collective transport of pupils in vehicles adapted to their needs (classic car, wheelchair adaptation, ambulance, etc.).

*Students are under the responsibility of their parents between home and the vehicle, on the way there and back.

Important: to benefit from paratransit, you must:

  • Living in Île-de-France
  • Have an up-to-date medical file with your MDPH beforehand
  • Register each school year on this site
  • Obtain the agreement of Île-de-France Mobilités subject to a favourablemedical opinion (MDPH)

The vehicles used (car, van, mini bus, etc.) are adapted to the different types of disability.

Paratransit is governed by

Journeys covered by Île-de-France Mobilités (one round trip per day)

  • Between the usual place of residence and the school or university.
  • Internship :
    - Lasting a minimum of 2 full and consecutive days
    - A signed agreement sent by the parents at least 15 days before
  • Learning : between home and school or workplace
  • School exam on presentation of the convocation.

Unsupported journeys (non-exhaustive list)

  • Medical-social establishments (IME, IMPRO, ITEP, CMPP, hospitals, SESSAD, etc.)
  • Medical appointments
  • Educational or sports outings
  • Extracurricular or extracurricular activities (leisure centre, studies, etc.)
  • Occasional changes to the timetable (absence of a teacher, etc.)
  • Discovery or integration days in another school.
